The article is an analysis of the information on anxiety in Poland in the 11th century, as noted down in Russian sources, that in the 12th century chronicle the Tale o f Bygone Years, the Life of Moisej the Hungarian at the Paterik o f Kievan Caves Monastery, a collection of stories from the lives of monks of the Kievan Caves Monstery, whose original version was created in the 13th century. Probably this piece of information was also included in the Life of Antonij Pecerskij, created in the 11th century, however it has not been preserved to our times. It is probable that the common source for the aforementioned items was a tale about the Russian princess Predslava who was kidnapped to Poland in 1018. Those sources claim that the anxiety in ...
